For over 35 years, Fresenius Kabi has been FresuCare, advising people on out-of-hospital care, wound and tracheostoma care, nutrition therapy and much more. The new Internet platform FresuCare.de now functions as an interface between patients, relatives and health care providers. Patients receive information about discharge management, including legal issues, cost absorption and options for out-of-hospital care. The various advisory services include, for example, decision support for homecare care and explanatory videos on various care models.
For Dagmar Scherrer, Head of FresuCare, the development of such a digital platform is important because it facilitates the networking of patients, relatives, home care providers and nursing staff. The aim of the platform is to further optimize patient care after a hospital stay.
