Koblenz-based CompuGroup Medical (CGM), a leading global e-health company with software solutions for doctors, pharmacies, laboratories, and hospitals, recently started a strategic collaboration with Recare Solutions to optimize a solution portfolio expansion in discharge and transfer management.

CGM’s software products now support 1.6 million users. CGM generates an annual turnover of 837 million euros. The main beneficiaries of the cooperation are patients and (acute) hospitals, especially against the Hospital Future Act (KHZG) backdrop, which accompanies the entire digital transformation process. From 2025 onwards, hospitals will have to prove that their implementation complies with the KHZG.

Recare GmbH from Berlin is a professional in digital discharge management. The company’s platform, which has 15,000 affiliated contractual partners, searches for care places with different service providers. The company also transmits data structured according to patient assignments and applications to affiliated statutory health insurers. Recare is thus an intermediary platform for hospitals and follow-up care providers and promotes interoperability between all service providers, with the patient at the center.

CLICKDOC, CGM’s patient portal, which is integrated into the hospital information system (HIS) and consists of three core components, including information, documentation, and services, thus fulfills all the criteria of funding criterion 2 „digital patient portal“ with Recare Solutions, which represents added value for patients and their relatives. But also for all actors in the treatment process, important documents and values can be accessed at any time.

The beneficiaries of the cooperation in the efficient and patient-oriented discharge and transfer management process are thus both patients and hospitals.
