The CSU members of the Bundestag have just decided in Berlin that they will push for some new achievements in the care of the elderly and sick. Accordingly, the CSU paper states that they will lobby for a so-called new entrant premium of 5,000 euros. New care workers would then receive 5,000 euros after training if they continue to work in their learned profession. In addition, support measures for their own health are to be added and hospital nursery places with guaranteed follow-up care are to be created. To this end, health care in Germany is to be secured with a five billion euro „safeguarding supplement“ beyond Corona. The measures then also include improving the compatibility of family and career and strengthening families, pensions and care.

According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the CSU in the Bundestag is calling for a „parental allowance bonus,“ which, however, should continue to be limited to twelve months per parent. This would also allow fathers to take longer parental leave, which would be financially rewarded.

Stronger financial support measures in childcare are also called for, which should subsequently be fully tax-deductible. The maximum allowance is also to be increased from 4,000 to 6,000 euros (per child and year). In care, the Bundestag CSU is in favor of capping the personal contribution at 700 euros a month, so that the personal contribution remains affordable.

In terms of pensions, the CSU parliamentary group is calling for a so-called starter kit in the old-age provision, which comes into effect with pension entitlements. Before that, the start between birth and 18 years of age pays 100 euros per month into a so-called generation pension fund. Also with the „advantage splitting,“ both spouses are to profit from the so-called “Income splitting” fiscally equally.
