In order to ensure that chronically ill patients can be provided with digital health care services throughout Germany, the Fresenius subsidiary Curalie has acquired Ditale Gesundheitsgruppe GmbH, DGG for short. DGG is the main beneficiary of the acquisition because it gains access to the international market of the Fresenius Group through the Helios Group and other important connections. Both companies, Curalie, a software developer in the field of digital health based in Berlin, and DGG are working on the further development of digital health services, especially for the chronically ill, relying on the expertise of health experts and other scientists including efficacy studies. Both also use the same software technology to provide digital support for patients in the outpatient and inpatient sector, but also in post-operative care. Curalie is working on the further development of therapeutic apps, especially in the field of rehabilitation and aftercare of patients. The DGG Group, which also includes the German Institute for Telemedicine and Health Promotion (DTIG) and the Düsseldorf-based management company Best Care Solutions GmbH, has developed the health programme „TeLiPro“, which as a „Telemedical Lifestyle Intervention Programme“ supports and accompanies type 2 diabetics, so that their lifestyle, state of health and quality of life are sustainably improved. The operator of the telemedical platform „TeLiPro“, which is primarily aimed at general practitioners and specialists, is Medulife GmbH, a member of the DGG Group. By merging the two companies, the Fresenius Group, which also includes the digital health company Curalie with 100 employees, is further expanding its portfolio of telemedical care services. Bernd Alpeter, CEO of DGG, is excited about the partnership with Fresenius in view of the expansion of international activities.
