A survey by the London think tanks Deep Knowledge Group (DKG) comes to the conclusion that the measures are taken in Germany, such as exit restrictions, nationwide tests and also the good equipment of hospitals in this country, have led to the fact that the Federal Republic is the second safest country in Europe in the ranking because according to the analysis only Israel scored better. According to the analysis, people in Israel and Germany are best protected against the lung disease COVID-19, followed by South Korea, Australia and China. Unfortunately, despite extensive and tough measures, Switzerland is no longer among the top ten; it has dropped to eleventh place. The news magazine „Spiegel“ first reported on the results of the analysis, in which our government’s crisis management also played an important role. Countries such as the USA, Great Britain, France and Italy do not appear in the list. According to the report, Germany has managed to contain the further spread of the virus despite high infection rates, the founder of the think tank DKG, based in London and Hong Kong, explains in a statement. Ultimately, Germany would be in a better economic position after the Corona pandemic than other countries that were rated worse in comparison. There is also hope that our country will recover faster from the current crisis situation. The data analysts, therefore, regard Germany as a model country.
