Temedica, an innovative company from Munich that provides digital medical support to hundreds of thousands of patients, has entered into a cooperation with the biotech company Roche Pharma to support patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).

The free app, called Brisa, has the potential to provide digital support to 240,000 patients, independent of therapy, so that MS patients can lead a largely self-determined life with a good quality of life. The app acts as a daily organizer and manages the course of the disease for those affected. This includes, above all, the tracking of symptoms of the disease as well as the individual recording of data for health, which includes activity levels, sleeping and waking rhythms, eating behavior and drinking quantity, explains Gloria Seibert as founder and CEO of Temedica, who drove the technological development of Brisa with her team.

The patient will be at the center of digital support and guidance, especially in terms of health literacy enhancement and lifestyle adaptation. Research into the disease will also be pushed in this way so that patients feel real added value when using the app. However, with its digital technology, the Brisa app is also expected to provide additional information about a possible disease progression and also scientific expertise, which will primarily come from the Roche Group. Roche Pharma AG has researched and developed numerous medicines to support the individual and personalized health management of individuals.
