The German company SpectrumK develops, implements and evaluates healthcare services and products for the statutory health and long-term care insurance funds. Recently, the company entered into a cooperation with scanacs GmbH, from which both companies benefit.

It was contractually agreed that spectrumK customers can use the service of scanacs, which is a leader in real-time prescription verification via a billing platform. They are digitally connected to all care providers. The e-prescription checking process, which is due to take place soon, will then run via a direct billing platform between pharmacies and health insurers. Scanacs now counts 3,400 pharmacies among its customers, but also has a further 20 customers in the statutory health insurance (SHI) sector.

The two companies expect the collaboration to improve networking in the digitization process between SHI and pharmacies, with the aim of jointly minimizing the effort required for prescription verification and making the potential of direct billing more usable for health insurers. In other words, prescription billing is to be modernized digitally.

SpectrumK’s products and services cover the most important service segments of the statutory health and long-term care insurance funds. Two-thirds of all German health insurers are now shareholders of the full-service provider. Many others are only customers of the spectrumK team, which has convinced 9 out of 10 SHI providers of its services and quality.

Both companies assume that the direct invoicing platform introduced by scanacs will mean that nothing will stand in the way of independent, fast and secure invoicing.
