Since December 14, 2020, physicians have been allowed to prescribe a further development of a well-known headache and migraine app on prescription, which sufferers can make use of for non-drug treatment methods from clinical practice, at least that is what the Berlin-based start-up company, Newsenselab GmbH, promises. The first migraine app, but the seventh digital health application (DiGA) on prescription for insured persons so far, is thus called M-Sense Migraine. The therapy app is thus a help around the clock seven days a week for people with migraine and tension headaches; pain conditions that can be automatically classified. The app further includes a smart headache diary, preventive treatment methods, and acute aids with specific exercises, such as those from the field of physiotherapy. In addition, it also has personalized and individualized expert knowledge. Suitable and comprehensive therapy exercises are found individually for sufferers by the digital assistant called Brainy. According to the start-up, this increases adherence to medication (therapy compliance). Improved regulation of the intake of painkillers is also associated with this. The app collects the personal data of the affected insured so that an advisory discussion with the treating physician is then possible based on the analysis.
