The management report of the Robert Koch Institute from last Wednesday shows an increase in the number of intensively treated COVID-19 patients. According to the status as of September 29th, 352 patients are treated nationwide, 195 of which are ventilated. Currently, there are still 8,900 intensive care beds available. According to the RKI, the number of deaths in connection with COVID-19 infections is 9,488. 2,507 new corona diseases were reported on the Saturday before last, the highest number since April. According to estimates by the RKI last Tuesday, the reproductive rate (R-value) is 1.12, which means that an infected person infects on average about one more person.
