Since June 1, 2020, the Paracelsus Clinics have had their own competence network „Nursing and Functional Services“, so that caregivers and patients are even more satisfied. Since then, Werner Murza, who had been in charge of the nursing services at the clinic in Osnabrück for over two years, has been in charge of the newly created network and has now been entrusted with new tasks and goals. The goals of the new concept are, for example, future-oriented concept development and improvement of work processes for nursing staff, who make up one-third of all employees in the Group, including the pain nurse, the intensive care nurse and the stoma nurse at Paracelsus. Digitisation and the transformation of the occupational profile make it necessary for the more intensive interdisciplinary exchange to take place within the acute and rehabilitation clinics, from which each of the locations must benefit equally. All locations must, therefore, be involved in new complex and innovative projects, as can already be seen from examples such as the hospital information system HIS and the digital nursing documentation IDAcare. Furthermore, Murza and Team, which includes the management and all employees of the nursing and functional services, are working on the creation of synergies and on improved project management in order to meet all changes in the daily clinic and rehabilitation routine. The project thus reacts to the demographic change in society, to digital changes in nursing, but also to the nursing profession and its changes, because there are also new generalised nursing training courses and specialisation and further training opportunities. The digitally controlled recruitment of young people and personnel from Germany and abroad is also part of this area. The competence network is also working on improving the professional profile of (specialist) nursing staff, however, in order to generate new working time models, to create a better work-life balance and to improve the quality of care, so that the satisfaction of all those involved in the care process is guaranteed.
