The company, audibene GmbH with its headquarters in Berlin, was founded in 2011 in the capital city by Paul Crusius and Dr. Marco Vietor, who have set themselves the goal of innovation in hearing aid acoustics. Their Signia hearing aids are among the most discreet and invisible devices currently available on the market. They have useful features and are full of technical achievements that the hearing impaired person is welcome to test. Crusius and Vietor put an end to the many prejudices that hearing aid manufacturers and acousticians have to deal with. One prejudice, for example, is the assumption that hearing aids nowadays sit bulky and flesh-colored behind the ear. The Signia Nx hearing aid is an absolutely small device that combines advanced technology with design and disappears completely in the ear. Preconception number two is that hearing aids are not insanely expensive and are subsidized by health insurance companies with up to 1,500 euros. The hearing aid can also be tested if the person concerned would like to do so for a while. Wearing the hearing aid free of charge and without obligation is also possible after online registration on limited test places. Another prejudice that still exists in the minds of the older population is that everyone believes that hearing aids just make everything loud. But this is a misconception because the modern and innovative devices from audibene can be adjusted to the individual needs of the client. The hearing aid acoustician adjusts the device when he takes delivery. However, the wearer of the device also has the option of adjusting and resetting everything himself with the help of an app on his smartphone. There are many options available for this purpose, which can be adjusted to fit exactly with the touch of a finger. According to the Signia engineer Dr. Vietor, the Signia Nx device has an incredible speech clarity in different situations, such as listening to music and has the above-mentioned smartphone connectivity for discreet adjustments by the wearer. The device also performs a battery status check to alert the wearer with a warning tone when the battery needs to be replaced. Audibene now works with more than 1,000 hearing care professionals across Germany, making these discreet devices available almost anywhere at a reasonable price.
