To ensure that Siemens Healthineers is positioned for the future, the company is cooperating with IBM and has developed and founded a new, open health platform „teamplay digital health platform connect“. This platform can also be used by other companies for so-called value-added services. Five new partners have already been found to offer innovations. However, the platform will be expanded to include further offerings. The goal is to advance digital healthcare in Germany because all players in the German healthcare system should benefit from data that has been compiled in an interdisciplinary manner. Siemens considers the expansion of the platform with innovations to be absolutely necessary in order to also be prepared within the framework of the Hospital Futures Act (KHZG) and to be able to integrate digital solutions into everyday clinical practice in particular. Siemens Healthineers platform is the digital transformation for the future, which has so far been used by these five startups as a basis for networking all players:

  • imito – die wund.app
  • Patient Journey App
  • ProCarement
  • RAMP
  • Recare

The Siemens Healthineers/IBM collaboration believes this will ensure „interoperability across departments and institutions,“ which stands for „operational efficiency and effectiveness.“ Accordingly, the platform works independently of vendors, systems, and devices, and guarantees secure access to transformative and AI-powered applications, Siemens emphasizes.
