Recare GmbH, based in Berlin, is a platform for digital discharge management, i.e., it plans and coordinates all planned care paths when patients are discharged from the hospital, for example.

For hospitals, Recare’s digital patient portal makes the entire patient management process tremendously easier because it gives physicians and other care providers more time for the sick people in the care process. Recare now works with 560 acute care and rehabilitation clinics and 14,000 other service providers and statutory health insurers, based on the Hospital Future Act.

To increase capacities and processes and connect new hospitals, further financial resources are needed, and a total of nine million euros have now flowed in. Of five million in venture capital, two million euros came from the first part of the financing round at the end of 2020, and three million were added recently. Four million was already available to the company with founder and CEO Maximilian Greschke beforehand. Plans for the fresh money include product development of improved interfaces for the „platform for care capacities“ and „deep integration with primary systems and health insurance companies,“ according to Greschke’s explanation for the financing round that has now just been topped up by a new investor.
