The start-up company Temedica, based in Munich, was founded in 2016 and offers digital health solutions. The young company is considered an innovation driver in the digital health market, which is growing day by day. Temedica has just raised 17 million euros with a Series B financing round. MIG Fonds, Santo Venture Capital and Salvia were the leading investors. The software developer from Munich has dedicated itself to digital therapy companions in the form of apps for smartphones, with which patients can positively support their healing process and medical care. The focus here is on changing the behavior of the patient and actively accompanying the therapies, but also on preventing the disease. For example, there is already an app called Pelvina for patients, which supports women in pelvic floor training, but back training offers via the „Mineo“ app are also possible. In addition, there is an app called „Waya“, which accompanies overweight and obese people to their desired weight via nutrition and exercise tips. There are also cooperation partners who support the young company on its way to digital medical products. The money invested is primarily intended to help Temedica to further develop the apps‘ development platform so that other indication areas can be covered. The young company is currently focusing on chronic diseases, which offer great potential for innovative app development.
