The Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) recently started offering its policyholders the TK online consultation hour, because in times of corona, visits to doctors and pharmacies are contraindicated for patients with corresponding symptoms. TK policyholders can simply download the TK-Doc app using their smartphones and then use video telephony to talk to 7,000 doctors, who are currently integrated into the digital system, seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and seek advice if they suspect a Sars-CoV-2 infection. The prescription of medication can also be easily done with the help of the electronic prescription (e-prescription) via a QR code, but also classically on paper. Furthermore, certificates of incapacity to work (AU) can be issued electronically. For the direct e-prescription connection, TK has chosen Noventi as its cooperation partner. Noventi is a pharmacy-related company owned by the pharmaceutical wholesaler Gehe and the publishing house Wort & Bild Verlag. Furthermore, pharmacists sit on Noventi’s supervisory board. The cash register and Noventi work together via a common interface. This will enable the planned nationwide supply network to be expanded across the board with partners of TK, which so far include eHealth Tec, the company responsible for the technical implementation, with whom the technicians are already working in a pilot project in Hamburg-Wandsbek. But other partners are also to be brought on board to ensure contactless communication between patients, doctors and pharmacists, because a courier service of the pharmacies can also deliver the delivery of the drugs without contact, especially for people with pre-existing conditions. Call my Apo“ and Zava also belong to this category of cooperation with TK. The telemedicine provider Zava uses the „Call my Apo“ app to fetch prescriptions from online mail-order pharmacies.
