DocMorris, the subsidiary of the Swiss Zur Rose Group, will now cooperate with the telemedicine specialists of the „Teleclinic“ platform in order to bring the prescription of medicines and their dispensing under one roof. To this end, Zur Rose is buying the now leading provider of remote treatment and telemedical services for a mid-double-digit million amount, according to insiders, in order to complete the transaction now, at the end of July. Various investors will be brought on board so that 741,000 new shares can be issued at a current price of 270 euros per share. Various wealthy investors, including the owner family of Dr. Willmar Schwabe, Andreas Rudolph, the founder of GHD, and CGM’s major shareholder Reinhard Koop, are already among the investor base of the Teleclinic platform, which was founded by Katharina Jünger as current CEO. DocMorris and also Zur Rose see great potential in telemedical consultations, not only in the course of the COVID 19 pandemic but also for the future. The digital doctor consultations and video consultation hours with a predicted rate of 50 percent in terms of the number of prescriptions issued in electronic form should give DocMorris a new boost for its e-commerce business. By bundling various competencies, the transformation of the industry will probably succeed, that’s something the executive floor of Zur Rose is certain of. Nine million active customers are already contributing to the expansion of the digital healthcare system. Teleclinic is the expert for video consultation hours, DocMorris has the expertise in the area of pharmaceuticals and e-prescription development, and will probably work on further „redemption options“ for e-prescription in the future. It is expected that DocMorris will cooperate with local pharmacies once the mail-order business and the „marketplace“ have been established.
