The pharmaceutical and medical device company Baxter International Inc. has reported a net profit of $583 million for the third quarter. In the previous year this was $576 million (+1.2 percent). Revenue for the quarter was unchanged at $3.48 billion. In the coming quarter it is expected by analysts that sales of the company from Deerfield, Illinois, will rise to $3.71 billion.
In the U.S., Baxter’s sales stood at around $1.5 million, 8 percent more than before, while sales in Europe declined by 5 percent.
