German company Bundesverband Gesundheits-IT (BVITG) has been identified by the Gemeinsamen Bundesausschuss (GBA) as a leading organisation of medical product manufacturers in accordance with legal regulation SGB V.
Thus, the association may now present its opinions before final decisions of the GBA on policies and regulations, under sections 135, 137c and 137e of the SGB V. This will always the case when the GBA issues guidelines on the evaluation and testing of diagnostic and treatment methods, when their technical application is based primarily on the use of a medical device.
