The private health fund Debeka and the Association of Cytostatics Producing Pharmacists (VZA) have entered into an agreement, which provides for the first time for cytostatics-producing pharmacists to directly settle costs of parenteral medication. The agreement comprises parenteral preparations including supporting medications and prescribed medical aids.

Both sides are expecting to benefit from the agreement: Private health fund patients now do not have to pay in advance and cytostatics producing pharmacies will no longer have the risk associated with collection because of Debeka’s payment.
