The turnover of the medical device manufacturer Dräger in the third quarter stood at EUR 573.9 million at constant currency, increasing by 5.6 percent over the same quarter last year (Q3 2011: 524.0). Contributing heavily to the growth was the medical division with EUR 377.6 million, considerably more than the company’s safety division. This represents an increase of 6.5 percent, which when adjusted for currency effects sees growth at only 3.2 percent.

Dräger achieved total consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of EUR 137.4 million (9 months 2011: EUR 139.7 million). The medical technology contributed EUR 99.2 million after nine months.
