The German eHealth company Nexus AG from Villingen-Schwenningen, Baden-Württemberg has announced it has acquired E & L medical systems GmbH. The takeover will see Nexus (Sales 2011: EUR 53.5 million) expand its portfolio and further establish itself as a supplier of diagnostic information systems in the German health care system.
E & L medical systems is a specialist in diagnostic reporting and has an annual turnover of EUR 5 million euros as the German market leader in this segment. The company employs around 70 people from Erlangen. In Germany, more than 400 hospitals in the fields of endoscopy, cardiology, ultrasound and other diagnostic departments use software package CWD from E + L.
