The American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and Co has announced that its profit rose in the third quarter. Net income amounted to $1.33 billion.
Revenue, however, declined significantly, due largely to the expiry of patents for the drug Zyprexa. Sales declined 11 percent to $5.44 billion.
