The medical technology group Fresenius is filling the positions of chairman at its most important subsidiaries Fresenius Medical Care (FMC) and Fresenius Kabi internally.
The American Rice Powell (56) will be at the helm of the dialysis specialist FMC, taking over from Ben Lipps (71) who has more than tripled the turnover since he became chairman in 1999.
Mats Henriksson (44) will be the new chairman at Fresenius Kabi, the infusions and generics division. The Swede will be replacing the 63-year old Rainer Beule. Beule was also able to triple the turnover at Kabi since 2001.
Previously Powell was in charge of the North American division and FMC Vice President, while Henriksson has been on the board of Kabi since 1999 and was responsible for the Asia-Pacific region.
