U.S. manufacturers and competitors prostheses Hanger, from Otto Bock, was honoured by Forbes as one of the 100 Best Small Companies in America. „We are proud to be named to the estimated 100 Forbes ‚Best Small Companies‘ list,“ said President and CEO Vinit K. Asar.

Hanger Orthopedic Group, based in Bethesda, Maryland, is the oldest and largest U.S. provider of prosthetics and orthotics, and employs more than 4,700 people.

The annual Forbes rankings are based on earnings growth, sales growth and return on equity in the past 12 months and over five years. Companies must have been publicly trading for at least a year, earning annual revenues of between 5 million and 1 billion dollars, and have a stock price no lower than $5 a share.
