People fully insured by health insurance providers Axa and Gothaer can now consult their GP specifically for medicine advice. Patients who regularly take several prescription drugs also have the right to a „drug check“ now. Here, doctors can give an overview of medicines that exist, and can thus analyse interactions and optimise therapy. The concept is intended to improve care for the insured, whilst also reducing costs.
