Home appliance manufacturer Miele, of Güterslohe, has announced a rise in sales for the year 2011/12, up 3.1% to EUR 3.04 billion.
In this business family, Miele Professional is renowned for manufacturing laundry equipment and dishwashers for commercial use, as well as cleaning, disinfecting and sterilising medical and laboratory technology. This division experienced sales increases of 5.9%, at EUR 393 million.
This division of Miele wants to further strengthen, and relies particularly on the medical industry, in which the company has been further developed by supplying equipment to system providers for hospitals and doctors.
This encompasses the planning of complete central sterilisation as well as equipment for all stages of treatment, including cleaning chemicals, documentation software, tool management and services, as the company announced. Miele’s first designed and equipped sterilization departments are currently in operation in Braunschweig, Salzburg and Eindhoven.
