Software company Pharmatechnik has changed the name of its data centre. After originally naming it „Deutsches Apothekenrechenzentrum PT“, Pharmatechnik have since responded to criticism from competitors around this issue, renaming the outsourcing billing centre „Digitales Abrechnungszentrum“ (DRZ).
In July 2010, the company, whose software programmes XT and IXOS are used by around 5,000 pharmacies, initiated this centre, outsourcing the scanning of receipts to Schweriner Rechenzentrum (SARZ).
According to the company, they expect around 350 companies to use the DRZ. The initial target was 1,500 within three years.
