Rebranding in the insurance sector: For the purposes of cooperation between the health fund AOK Rhineland/Hamburg and Düsseldorfer Insurance, the private health insurer (PKV) has changed its name to "Vigo Health Insurance".
The intention to secure lucrative business in the form of additional insurances for AOK members was behind this measure. "Vigo" is the name AOK has given to its own elective tariffs and other insurance offers. Even before the tender was opened, AOK had stated that it wanted its future partner to change their name.
In taking this step, the provider of additional policies from Düsseldorf also wants to strengthen a feeling of solidarity and convey to its policy holders that they will be able to receive all services from one source.
