The laboratory supplier Sartorius has made more profit in the first nine months of the year, and has benefited from the rising demand for disposable products in the manufacture of drugs. Adjusted net income increased by 22.7 percent to EUR 100 million.
In the first nine months, sales rose by 18.1 percent (currency-adjusted: plus 13.8 percent) to EUR 639.4 million.
Sartorius made utensils for the manufacture of drugs and has remained unaffected by the problems of many pharmaceutical manufacturers. The company considers the volume of produced resources – whether these are for generic drugs or generic drugs – to be irrelevant.
