Siemens Healthcare has announced that it will assume virtually all the assets of Penrith Corporation. The company, based in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, USA, manufacturers integrated ultrasound systems. With this acquisition, Siemens is expanding its offerings in the field of ultrasound. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of September 2012.
Siemens Healthcare in the sales year 2011 generated a total turnover of EUR 12.5 billion worldwide.
