Siemens has launched a new online portal for patients to explain modern procedures in imaging diagnostics, its possible uses and risks, as well as what happens during an examination. Information on offer ranges from ultrasound and x-ray to magnetic resonance and computer tomography through to mammography and nuclear medicine.
Another area has information on diseases which can be investigated with the said procedures. Treatment methods as well as healing chances of diseases which are common in Germany, like heart attack, stroke, breast cancer, bowel cancer or prostate cancer, are explained.
